Free from Addictions: The Path to Healing

Today we will talk about an important topic – rehabilitation from addictions. Our church believes in healing and restoration through Jesus Christ. No matter what addiction you are facing, there is always hope. God desires to give us freedom from everything that holds us captive.

Very often, when we speak of addictions, we mean alcohol, drugs, gambling, or other synthetic substances. But addictions can also be emotional, psychological, or spiritual. It is important to realize that each of us may face these challenges along our life journey.

The Bible says:

Isaiah 61:1

"The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, because the Lord has anointed Me to proclaim good news to the poor; He has sent Me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound."

This is a promise of healing and freedom. Jesus came to free those who are suffering, and He can do this in your life.

The first step to healing is acknowledging the problem. As is well known, a turning point in the lives of many people often begins when they admit that they cannot cope on their own.

1 John 1:9

"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

Therefore, do not be afraid to acknowledge your struggles before God.

Next, we need to move to prayer and supplication.

Philippians 4:6-7

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

Prayer is a way to communicate with God. It can become your refuge and source of strength.

It is also important to surround yourself with supportive people. Our church offers support groups, teaching, and healing where you can find people who have gone through similar challenges.

Ecclesiastes 4:9-10

"Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls, for he has no one to help him up!"

Together we can create miracles and support one another on the road to healing.

In conclusion, remember that you are not alone in your struggles. Jesus sees your suffering and is ready to help at any moment. Believe in your victory over any addictions, and do not forget that

Romans 8:37

"Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us."

So let us seek freedom, healing, and restoration in Christ together!
