Dear brothers and sisters, addictions are a pressing problem of our time, affecting many people, including our loved ones, friends, or even ourselves. Despite the physical and emotional anguish they bring, we must remember that in Christ we can always find hope and a way out of the most difficult circumstances.
There are countless types of addictions: from drugs and alcohol to addictions to technology and relationships. Anyone can fall into the trap of addiction, and often, upon realizing it, they feel deep shame and hopelessness for salvation. However, as the Word of God tells us, "I can do all things through Him who strengthens me" (Philippians 4:13).
Romans 8:1"Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit."
This verse reminds us that by turning to Christ, we receive forgiveness and a new beginning. Through His grace, we can find a path to rehabilitation, not only in a physical sense but also spiritually. It is important to connect with a church and community that will support us during this challenging time.
Here are some steps that can help find the path to freedom:
James 1:5"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him."
Psalm 119:11"I have hidden Your word in my heart, that I might not sin against You."
Sometimes the journey to recovery may be difficult or lengthy, but remember that God is always with us.
1 Peter 5:7"Cast all your anxieties on Him because He cares for you."
Do not hesitate to reach out to our ministers for support and advice. Together we can find the path to freedom and restoration. May your hearts be filled with the peace of God, and may your spirit be strengthened in Christ! Amen.
