Childhood is a special time when children are open to everything new, inspired by the wonders of this world and ready to believe in miracles. As Christians, we have the duty to reveal God's truths to children and share with them stories from the Bible that demonstrate the power of God's miracles.
Miracles are manifestations of God's power that are noted in the Holy Scripture, and they continue to take place today. Every child should know that nothing is impossible for God. As we teach children to believe in miracles, we must show them that our God is alive and active, and that He desires to perform extraordinary acts in their lives.
One of the most impressive moments in the Bible is when Jesus fed five thousand people with five loaves of bread and two fish. This story reminds us that God can do much with little when we give it into His hands.
John 6:9Just as this boy trusted his loaves to Jesus, we can teach children to trust God with their time, talents, and resources."There is a boy here who has five barley loaves and two fish; but what is that for so many?"
Another striking example is the resurrection of Lazarus. This story shows that our God is stronger than death.
John 11:43-44This is a reminder that our Lord has power not only over our physical problems but also over spiritual and emotional ones."And when He had said this, He cried out with a loud voice, 'Lazarus, come out!' And the man who had died came out, his hands and feet bound with linen strips, and his face wrapped with a cloth."
Jesus said, "Unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven." This speaks to the fact that the faith of children is an example for us adults.
Matthew 18:3Children believe easily, without doubts. They are open to everything an adult tells them. That is why we in children's ministry must help them carry this faith into their lives."Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven."
One way to teach children about faith is to use games, songs, and interactive activities. It’s important for children to be eager to learn about God and His power. For example, we can create a role-playing game based on biblical stories, where each child receives a specific role - this can help them understand the essence of the stories. Also, excellent moments for children to preach are when they choose a hero from the story and share what they would do in that situation.
Never forget about prayer. Prayer is a conversation with God, and the sooner children start praying, the closer they will become to God. We can organize prayer groups where children can share their needs and learn to pray for one another.
Children's ministry is a great calling. It may be hard for you to see the significance of these small moments, but think about the fact that you are shaping the future generation. The miracles that God performs in the lives of children can change the world. Let’s support each other in our ministry, organize new practices, and seek new ways to spread God's word among little and receptive hearts.
We encourage you to participate in the ministry, pray for the children, and support them at every moment of their lives, for together we can raise a new generation of faithful servants of God!
