Freedom from Addictions

Addiction may seem like an insurmountable obstacle in our lives, but there is hope. Support from the church and the Word of God can be a powerful tool in the fight against any addictions. In the Bible, we see examples of people who sought God and found salvation and deliverance in Him. We are not alone in our struggle, and our faith can be the foundation for recovery.

Many people suffer from various forms of addiction: to alcohol, drugs, gambling, or even technology. These issues rob us of the joy and peace that God promises. But He invites us to freedom and restoration:

Romans 12:2

"And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God."

To break free from addiction, the first step is to acknowledge that we need help. Many people struggle on their own, thinking they can manage, but hope in one's own strength often leads to new defeats. It is important to find a community that will support you in this battle. Our church seeks to be a place where everyone can find acceptance, love, and support.

Reach out to God in prayer, opening your hearts to Him. He is ready to hear you, and as many of our congregants believe, prayer can be a powerful means of deliverance. Here’s what the Bible says on this subject:

James 5:16

"Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much."

In our ministry, we offer various programs and support groups. We continue our prayers and discussions to stand by those who are struggling with addictions. Participating in groups will help you feel that you are not alone, and that your struggles can be overcome.

Invite God's promises into your life. Read the Bible, for the Word of God is a powerful instrument for change. One of the most beloved promises is:

Isaiah 41:10

"Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you; I will uphold you with My righteous right hand."

Do not lose hope. As a church, we believe that God can and wants to deliver everyone who turns to Him. His love and mercy are boundless, and He is waiting for you to come to Him. Join us, and together we will choose a life free from addictions.
