Dear parents and all those involved in our children's ministry, today we want to talk about the importance of raising children in faith. Children are a gift from God, and we, as a church, have a duty to help them grow in the knowledge and love of the Lord.
Raising children in faith starts with example. When we talk about ministering to children, it is important that the adults around them live by the faith they teach the children.
Jeremiah 24:7This is an important principle, as children often learn not only from what they hear, but also from what they see.“And I will give them a heart to know Me, for I am the Lord; and they shall be My people, and I will be their God…”
In our church, we strive to create an environment where children can not only learn about God but also feel His presence. Every moment of ministry can be an opportunity to share God’s love. For example, through games, psalms, and creativity, children can understand that God loves them and that they have value.
Matthew 19:14
“But Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the Kingdom of Heaven.’”This verse emphasizes the importance of children in God's kingdom. Let us not hinder their spiritual growth, but rather, open our hearts and hands to receive them.
Often, we envision children as the future of the church, but in reality, they are our present. They already have the opportunity to influence our community, sharing their testimonies and impressions of God with adults. They inspire us to also see God through simple, childlike eyes.
We consciously choose to engage in pedagogy based on biblical principles. Ongoing prayer, studying Scripture, and discussing its content are all crucial for forming a spiritual foundation in children.
Proverbs 22:6This verse emphasizes how important it is to teach children from a young age, so they grow in faith and can withstand the challenges of the modern world.“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.”
Let us unite our efforts to create a holy place for our children. We encourage each of you to get involved in children's ministry, to support and bless our desire to see children growing in faith and love for God. Remember, you can be an example for your little one today, and tomorrow for an entire generation.
May the Lord bless you in your role as parents, mentors, and ministers. Together, we can raise a generation that will live by God’s commandments, glorifying His name throughout the world!
