Dear brothers and sisters, today we open an important topic that concerns many of us – the rehabilitation of addictions. Addiction can manifest in various forms: from drugs and alcohol to obsessions with technology or negative habits. It is important to understand that for some this is a choice, but for many – it is a hard struggle.

In our lives, there are times when we feel hopeless, and then we may feel that help comes only through God’s grace. The feelings of despair and indifference can lead to even greater isolation. But let us remember the words of the Bible.

Romans 12:2

"And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God."

This scripture confirms that revival begins in the mind. When we decide to change our lives, viewing it through the lens of God’s word, we gain a new perspective on our problems. This restoration is possible only when we are open to the action of the Holy Spirit.

The first step on this path is to acknowledge our problem. Often we try to hide or deny our addiction, but this only deepens our difficulties. Scripture calls us to honesty.

James 5:16

"Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much."

Furthermore, it is important to be in a community of brothers and sisters. Collective prayers can become a powerful aid in the fight against addictions. Let us not fight alone. Mutual support and encouragement strengthen prayers and lead to liberation.

Do not forget that our identity in Christ is what saves us from everything. Anyone who is in Him is a new creation. Only through faith in Jesus Christ do we gain the strength to overcome all difficulties.

2 Corinthians 5:17

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new!"

Part of the method for addiction rehabilitation is not only turning to God, but also spending time in His presence. Reading the Bible, praying, and worshiping are steps that lead to our healing. As it is said in

Psalms 147:3

"He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds."

At the same time, do not forget about practical steps in life, such as removing sources of temptation and forming healthy habits. Involve people who can support you in a healthy lifestyle, and learn from the examples of those who have already been set free.

Remember: our God is the God of second chances. If you are seeking freedom, know that your struggle is not hopeless. He is ready to extend a helping hand. Let us pray together for those who are battling addictions, that they may find peace and true liberation in Christ!
