Believe in Uncertainty

Today we live in a world where uncertainty has become a constant companion of our lives. The events that occur around us can evoke fear, anxiety, and doubt. But, as believers, we are called to place our hope in God and His word. The Gospel of Mark 11:23 reminds us of the power of our faith.

Mark 11:23

“For truly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him.”

This verse teaches us about the importance of faith and confidence in our words. Sometimes, life throws serious challenges our way, which may seem like mountains in front of us. However, as this truth shows, if we learn to speak to our “mountains” with faith, we can overcome all difficulties.

First, it is important to realize that true faith comes from a deep knowledge of God. The more we know about God's character, the more powerful our words become. Romans 10:17 states:

Romans 10:17

“So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.”

Its foundation is in knowing God's word. Let us read the Bible, pray, and communicate with God. This will strengthen our faith in difficult times.

Second, it is important to immerse ourselves in prayer. When we find ourselves in tough circumstances, we need to come before God in prayer. Philippians 4:6-7 emphasizes the importance of prayer:

Philippians 4:6-7

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

Prayer is not only a way to reach out to God but also a means of finding peace in times of uncertainty. It helps us focus on God rather than on our fears.

Third, surround yourself with faithful people. Fellowship with community supports our faith. When we are around others who believe, our doubts diminish. Hebrews 10:24-25 encourages us to gather together:

Hebrews 10:24-25

“And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.”

Let us remember that each of us goes through difficulties, but together we can support one another in our faith.

In times of uncertainty, let us not forget that our lives are influenced not by circumstances, but by our reaction to them. Believe in God's promises, speak to your “mountains,” and let your faith lead you forward on your journey. May the Lord strengthen you in faith and give you peace in your heart at all times!
