Faith as the Foundation of Our Christian Life

Faith is one of the most important components of our Christian life. It not only defines our relationship with God but also shapes our perception of the world. Let’s talk about this by referring to Hebrews 11:1-6.

Hebrews 11:1-3

"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good testimony. By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible."

"By faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, through which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts."

When we serve God in faith, our deeds become pleasing to Him. This can relate to any area of our life: from serving in church to everyday actions.

Hebrews 11:6

"But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him."

The great truth of this verse is that faith is not just a positive outcome but also an active pursuit of God. If we want to receive a reward from Him, we must actively seek Him. This means we should have a daily practice of faith, pray, study the Bible, and glorify His name. Only through deep faith can we have true communion with our Heavenly Father.
