Dear church! In a world that increasingly questions spiritual values, we, as Christians, must turn our attention to the power of faith. Hebrews 11 reveals to us that faith is the foundation of everything, and it is through faith that many of us have been able to achieve victories in our lives.
In the first verse of this chapter, we read:
Hebrews 11:1These words urge us to realize that faith is not just blind trust, but a deep assurance in God's promises that we do not always see. Faith is the sight of our soul."Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen."
Furthermore, the message speaks about saints who achieved great things through faith. Paul gives an example of such faith, which we can see in Hebrews 11:4:
Hebrews 11:4Here, Abel's faith is demonstrated through his sacrifice. Friends, is our faith strong enough to manifest through our actions and sacrifices for the sake of God?"By faith Abel offered to God a better sacrifice than Cain, through which he received the testimony that he was righteous."
Moving on to the story of Abraham, we see that his faith was tested to the limit: Hebrews 11:8 tells us:
Hebrews 11:8This example shows our readiness to follow God, even when the path is unknown. How often do we stay in one place out of fear of uncertainty?"By faith Abraham, when called, obeyed and went out to a place that he was to receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going."
Also, through faith, we can receive God's promises. In Hebrews 11:11 we read that:
Hebrews 11:11This is a challenge for us: do we believe in God's promises when they seem impossible? God's power can work in our lives, despite all circumstances!"By faith Sarah herself received power to conceive, even when she was past the age, since she considered him faithful who had promised."
In conclusion, dear brothers and sisters, let us remember the examples of faithfulness from our ancestors. Are we ready to follow their example? Our faith can change not only us but also the world around us. Believe, pray, and share your faith! Mark 11:22 invites us:
Mark 11:22May our faith be a reliable support in all the challenges of our lives. Amen!"Jesus answered them, 'Have faith in God!'
