In our modern world, the service of women in the church is of extraordinary importance. Women have always been a support in family, spiritual, and social life. The Bible repeatedly emphasizes the role of women in God's plan of salvation and service.
Women who serve have a strong faith that brings about change in their surroundings. They actively participate in ministry, helping those in need, supporting children and families, preaching the Gospel, and engaging in missionary work. In
Titus 2:3-5, we see that older women have a calling to mentor younger ones, teaching them through example and expressing Divine values."Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good, and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled."
One of the most striking examples of a woman's service in the Bible is Deborah, a judge and prophetess (Judges 4-5). She not only led the people of Israel but was also a wise counselor. Her courage and faithfulness to God inspired others to act.
Judges 5:7."The villagers ceased in Israel; they ceased to be until I arose; I, Deborah, arose as a mother in Israel."
Moreover, women in the New Testament also played an important role. For instance, Mary Magdalene, who witnessed the Resurrection of Christ, was the first to proclaim this good news (John 20:18).
John 20:18."Mary Magdalene went and announced to the disciples, 'I have seen the Lord,' and that he had said these things to her."
Today, girls and women can follow these examples, contributing to the growth of the Church and fulfilling the Great Commission. Through prayer, faith, and service, they can change the world for the better.
