Children's Ministry: Our Children

Children are a special gift from God, and nurturing them in faith is an important task for every church. The children's ministry in our church serves as a platform where we can help children know God, teach them literacy in faith, and provide support in their spiritual development. The primary goal is not only to teach children about God, but also to help them experience a personal relationship with Him.

In Matthew 19:14 we read where Jesus says:

Matthew 19:14

“But Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the Kingdom of Heaven.’”

This verse emphasizes the importance of children in God's Kingdom. It is not enough to simply give children knowledge; we must teach them to pray, to praise God, and to live according to His Word. In our children's ministry, we strive to create an environment where children can freely express their faith.

Our children's ministry includes a variety of programs: Bible lessons, contests, games, worship services, and creative activities. Art is a wonderful way to communicate with God, so we actively involve children in creative endeavors such as drawing, music, and drama.

We believe that through these activities, children not only learn but also develop their personalities. It is important for both parents and leaders to model a living faith. In this way, children will learn from us by observing our relationships with God.

It is also important for parents to actively participate in the life of the children's ministry. Sometimes, simply taking a child to the class is not enough. Parents can join in the ministry by organizing joint events or by engaging in discussions with their children about God at home. This encourages their interest and openness to spirituality.

Furthermore, interacting with other children in Christ is a vital component of development. In our children's ministry, children can find new friends, share their experiences, and seek answers to spiritual questions together.

Ultimately, it is about laying a foundation that will continue to support their faith in adulthood. Children's ministry is not just a program; it is a way of shaping youth who will become conscious and responsible Christians in the future.

So, dear parents and leaders, let us together invest our energy, time, and love into raising the next generation. As stated in Proverbs 22:6:

Proverbs 22:6

“Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”

May each of us contribute to making children a light in the darkness, serving God from little to great, so that their hearts always beat in rhythm with love for the Savior.
