Good day, dear brothers and sisters!
Today we will talk about an extremely important topic - spiritual gifts. The Holy Scripture speaks of this in 1 Corinthians 12:4-11, where we find the foundations for understanding how God endows us with His blessings.
Spiritual gifts are special abilities that the Holy Spirit gives to each of us with a specific purpose: for ministry, strengthening faith, and building the Church. Not everyone receives the same gifts, but each gift holds great significance in God's economy.
1 Corinthians 12:4-11“There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit; there are different kinds of service, but the same Lord; there are different kinds of working, but the same God works all of them in all men. Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.”
This verse emphasizes that gifts come from one Spirit and serve the benefit of the entire Church. It is important to understand this, as each gift is not about personal glory but about serving others.
Let us consider three main aspects of spiritual gifts:
The first thing you need to do is recognize that you have a spiritual gift. It may be the gift of prophecy, service, teaching, or others. Ask yourself: “What is my passion? What ministry brings me joy?”. The answers to these questions can point to your spiritual gift.
Once you have recognized your gift, it is important to start using it. Don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone. The Holy Scripture calls us to action.
James 2:17This means that our ministry should be active, and our gift should bear fruit.“In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.”
Do not forget that we are the Church. Serving one another is what unites us. Acknowledge the gifts of others, support them in their ministry, and develop their talents. Mutual support strengthens our ministry as a community.
So, dear ones, let each of us discover our spiritual gifts, realizing that they are given for the service of God and people. Let us be active in our faith and use our gifts to glorify the name of the Lord!
We invite you to Sunday service, where we will discuss these topics in detail and pray for the revelation of your spiritual gifts. May God bless you!
