Spiritual Gifts in the Life of a Believer

The active life of a believer is always connected with the spiritual gifts received from the Holy Spirit. In the Letter to the 1 Corinthians 12, Apostle Paul emphasizes the importance of these gifts for the church and for each believer. We are all parts of the body of Christ, and that is why each of us has a special role in ministry.

1 Corinthians 12:4-7

"There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but the same God works all of them in all men. Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good."

Each gift has its own significance and purpose. It is important to understand that these gifts are not given for our personal enrichment, but for serving others. When we use our gifts, we become instruments in God’s hands.

In our church, we encourage all brothers and sisters to seek their spiritual gifts. How can this be done? First of all, pray that God will reveal your gift to you. Study the Word of God, read about spiritual gifts and their practical application in the life of the church.

1 Corinthians 12:12-14

"For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ. For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, slaves or free—and all were made to drink of one Spirit."

The diversity of gifts in the church is very important. Each of us has our own characteristics, so we have the opportunity to serve in different ways. Some may have the gift of teaching, others the gift of wisdom or understanding. This is all crucial for the growth of the church, as one part cannot exist without the other.

In fact, the ministry of believers is based on interaction: we support each other, encourage, and help in the development of our gifts. If you do not know what gift you have, talk to your church, encourage yourself to serve, participate in activities and ministries to discover new opportunities.

1 Corinthians 12:27

"Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it."

Let your soul be open to receiving and using spiritual gifts. If you already know your gift, allow it to bloom and develop the church. Our fellowship and ministry is the gentle sound of God's love echoing throughout the world.

So, take time for prayer and reflection. Trust God in matters of your gifts. May your gift bear abundant fruit for the glory of God and for the benefit of the church. Move forward in ministry, firmly holding on to God's word!
