Children in Christ: How to Raise Little Believers
Children are a great gift from God. In the Holy Scriptures, we can find numerous guidelines on raising children in faith. It is important to teach them not only the basics of Christian faith but also to give a clear understanding of God's love and grace.
Before embarking on faith formation, it's worth recalling
Psalm 127:3. Every child that the Lord gives is a blessing and has its purpose in God's plan.“Children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb is a reward.”
Ministry for children is an important component of the church. Participation in children's programs, groups, and camps helps to form a spiritual identity in little hearts. It is essential to use vivid examples from the Bible to show that God is always our friend and is ready to listen to our prayers.
When we teach children, we should use practical lessons. For example, teaching them about love for neighbors, as Jesus did by helping those in need.
Mark 12:31. It is important to demonstrate to children that true love is manifested in actions.“You shall love your neighbor as yourself; there is no other commandment greater than these.”
Equally important is prayer. Praying together with children is a wonderful way to strengthen their faith. Children need to be assured that their prayers have power and reach the heart of God.
James 5:16. Teach them to pray with an open heart and trust in the Lord.“The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.”
Involve children in the church's ministry, giving them an opportunity to showcase their talents. This can include singing, playing musical instruments, or participating in performances.
1 Peter 4:10. This will help them realize that they are part of a great God's family.“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.”
Do not forget to encourage children to study the Holy Scriptures. Reading the Bible within the family circle, discussing simple Bible stories that are easily understood by children, will help them solidify their knowledge of God.
2 Timothy 3:16.“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.”

Ephesians 6:4. Let us work together to raise little followers of Christ who will become great soldiers in God's army!“Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.”
