Children and the Bible: Growing Faith from an Early Age

Our church believes that it is very important to prepare children for life in Christ from the earliest age. Children's ministry is a foundational element of our community, where we strive not only to teach children about God but also to nurture them in faith and love.

In Matthew 19:14

“But Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.’”

we see a clear calling for children to have access to God. By creating a safe and loving environment, we give them the opportunity to know Him through prayer, singing, and the Bible.

But why is this so important? The biblical principle of teaching children is found in Proverbs 22:6

“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.”

This message urges us to be active in teaching our children. Research shows that the majority of people who accept Jesus as their Savior do so before reaching the age of 18. Therefore, our task is to raise the next generation of believers.

The children's ministry aims to create an environment where children can freely explore God and learn His words. Our teachers are inspired, educated, and ready to assist each child in their spiritual growth.

Key elements of the program include:

• Bible Lessons: We use simple and understandable materials to convey the importance of God’s word to children.
• Creativity: Drawing, crafts, and other activities help children better absorb lessons and learn biblical stories.
• Play: Interactive games encourage communication and are an integral part of learning.
• Prayer: We always start and end our sessions with prayer, teaching children how to communicate with God.

It is very important for parents to also be involved in their child's life in the church. 2 Timothy 3:15 embodies this idea:

“And how from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.”

This means that parents should be examples of faith. Your actions and words can serve as inspiring examples for your child.

The children's ministry not only shapes future believers but also brings joy to life today. Let us together help our children understand God by surrounding them with a community of loving believers who support and uplift each other.
